ABOUT JON OSBORN

When Jon was 13, he dislocated his knee for the first time. Over the next 3 years it would happen again 7 times. Each time he would rehab and be forced to watch teammates compete from the sidelines. Because of these experiences he began experimenting with, what he would later learn, fundamental principles of sport psychology.

9 years later (and 4 surgeries!!), Jon graduated from the University of Utah in 2017 with a Masters in Sport & Performance Psychology. As a professional, Jon works to improve mental toughness through the use of mental skills. Whether it be through “Negativity Cocktails” or PB&J Sandwiches, Jon teaches unforgettable lessons & techniques to help others be more resilient, in control, and confident. Whether your playing surface is grass, the court, or the boardroom, Jon will provide you or your team with exactly what you need.

Jon is currently lead Mental Performance Coach for the Real Monarchs, the RSL Academy, and he is the assistant Mental Performance Coach for Real Salt Lake. He also works with Utah State & Westminster Athletics, LGCY Power, Kongo Athletics, and many high school teams throughout the state of Utah.

Jon currently lives in Riverton, Utah. When Jon is not working, he enjoys being outdoors, camping hiking and playing sports with his wife Megan, and their two children Charlotte (4), Gigi (2).

We recently had the opportunity to have Jon Osborn speak to our golf team. Jon reached out to me the week before the scheduled session to get some information about our team and what our needs where. Jon nailed the exact things our kids needed to hear in an engaging and fun way. He brought some great ideas that we were able to take immediately to the golf course.
Our team went out the next day and shot a 301, their best score of the season. One of my kids who had really been struggling with his mental game shot a 75, his best round of the season. After the match he told one of his teammates, “that stuff really works” referring to the skills Jon taught them the day before. We are looking forward to bringing Jon in the week before our state tournament for another session.
