ABOUT MATTIE SNOW

Mattie has coached collegiate softball for seven years, including at Boise State University, Weber State University, and the University of Utah. Mattie has been part of high level and competitive postseason teams for over a decade and understands what it takes to achieve and maintain peak performance. By integrating her experiences as an athlete and coach with her training in sport and performance psychology, Mattie is able to support athletes' mental health, physical health, and overall performance with compassion and integrity.

Mattie pitched and played softball at Dixie State University where she went to the postseason four years in a row and placed third at the World Series during her senior year. During Mattie’s junior year she began to experience significant performance anxiety which prevented her from maintaining a high level of performance. This led her to choose the path of sport psychology and coaching in order to help athletes overcome performance anxiety and other similar hurdles. Mattie is committed to helping athletes become mentally tough through confidence training, imagery, and self-talk.

After graduating from Dixie State University with a BS in Psychology in 2014, Mattie attended graduate school at the University of Utah. There, she completed her Master’s in Sport and Performance Psychology and interned for the softball team under the mentorship of Dr. Nicole Detling. While there, she worked with University of Utah Softball as a graduate assistant going to the postseason three years.

In her free time Mattie loves to hike, paddleboard, and snowshoe (all with her goldendoodle, Mia).
